Nancy Caldwell

Nancy is continuously a student developing her skills as a hobby following retirement.

She finds enjoyment in attending workshops and working along side with other artists who inspire her and encourage her own development through their enthusiasm for art.

Landscapes, people, plants, and buildings are found in her art.

Workshops with Stewart Edwards, Gordon MacKenzie, Alvaro Castagnet are the latest professionals Nancy has gleaned painting points from.

She teaches at the Senior Centre on Bay Street in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and thoroughly enjoys sharing tips and techniques with those artists while learning from them as well.

Her paintings are hanging in homes throughout Canada and the United States.

Nancy's objective is to enjoy painting for herself and if a painting connects with you, it can in turn be your pleasure.

On her first time entering NOAA Annual Juried Exhibitions she had her painting accepted as part of the 58th NOAA.  This 39 painting exhibition toured throughout Northern Ontario from September 2014 to September 2015 and was shown at the Art Gallery of Algoma in December 2014.

At the 59th NOAA which opened in September 2015 Nancy had her watercolour painting entitled Pat`s Sunflower accepted.  It was shown as part of a 40 painting juried exhibition at the Art Gallery of Algoma from December 4th to December 20th, 2015.

In September 2016 Nancy received the Mary Weymark Goss Award for the Most Innovative Painting in the 60th NOAA Juried Exhibition.  This was the third painting Nancy had accepted in NOAA Juried Exhibitions.
