Livio Ubaldi

Livio is a self taught artist from Sault Ste. Marie who paints mainly in oil.  He gains a great deal of inspiration for his paintings from areas around Lake Superior. 

Coming from a geological background one of his favorite subjects to paint are rocks found along the shores of Lake Superior.

 Livio has had three paintings accepted in the following NOAA Annual Juried Exhibitions:

- 55th NOAA - Oil painting entitled "Superior Treasures" which won The Trading Post Award.

- 58th NOAA - Oil painting entitled "Superior's Weathered Wonders" which won the Muriel Backstrom Award.

- 59th NOAA - Oil painting entitled "Ice Capped" which won the Nickel Acme Printers Award.

In the past Livio was invited to participate in the Four and Friends Art Show.  He has also been part of many local group art shows and sales which include with the Algoma Art Society, with the New Marconi Italian Festival and at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.

 Livio's oil paintings can currently be found for sale at Roses Art Gallery in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
