Judy Henderson, NOAA

Portraits are one of my favorite subjects where I not only strive to obtain a good likeness but aim to portray their inner personality as well. Being drawn to a realistic style, I also enjoy painting figures, landscapes, pets, still life, flowers, marine and waterscapes. I currently work mainly with oils but often love to experiment with other mediums such as watercolour, pen and ink, pencil, pastel and acrylics and try different techniques. Attending regular figure drawing sessions with the Underground Group helps me to keep up on my drawing skills.

Along with being a fine artist, my background as a graphic designer is a definite asset when working as an active member of the Algoma Art Society since 1982 and the Northern Ontario Art Association (NOAA) since 2005.
