Lucille Norman

For me painting is an activity where time is suspended, where florals and landscapes inspire me to try to capture some of their beauty through the magic of watercolors. The fluidity of watercolors, how the watercolors whisper and sometimes shout beautiful shapes and forms is something that enthralls my imagination and keeps me painting.

I am most grateful to have found a vibrant and encouraging community of artists in Sault Ste Marie who have readily shared their knowledge and appreciation of art and of painting. Though I have no formal training in painting, in recent years I have had the opportunity to explore watercolors through the many classes offered in our community.

I am most honored to have had a watercolor accepted in the NOAA 62nd juried exhibition of 2018 and for which I received an award.
