Biography

Home for Valerie Hurdle has always been Sault Ste. Marie and nearby Lake Superior has inspired her oil paintings on numerous occasions.
Drawing what she needs from instructors like John Keast, Taimi Poldma and John David Anderson allows her passion for art to be a continuously growing, learning and satisfying experience.
Valerie's goal is to capture the feelings that Nature evokes in her and translate them into paintings that will elicit similar viewer reactions.
Joining the Algoma Art Society in 2019 has proven to be a valuable step in her Art journey. She holds the position of Community Involvement Committee Lead.
